Entrance View - Cochem Castle, Germany

Last October I took a photograph (well several really) whilst I was visiting Cochem Castle in Germany, but I did not like the way it turned out, too many people and the lighting wasn't great. So I decided to use it as a reference for some architectural and perspective practice with my watercolours.
I'm happy with the result after 5 years of not touching the paints, but I can definitely see room for improvement with technique and discipline.
Painted by hand with my inherited watercolour palette, my own watercolour pencils and a thin black fineliner.
