MerMay 2018

I drew this on stream back in May 2018. She was my first project on the new tablet I'd ordered for myself and I am really pleased with how she turned out. This was the beginning of learning to draw digitally and whilst there are mistakes, I was having fun and learning the entire time.

She was inspired by an eel, rather than a fish, hence the tail's look; I also like the idea of mermaids having been women thrown overboard with their legs tied together due to the bad luck they were thought to have brought to ships.
